Jiani Yang Profile

Jiani Yang is a pianist hailing from China. Her musical journey began at the age of four, taking her all the way to attending Shenyang Conservatory of Music at age 17, and recieving several awards whilst earning her bachelors degree. During her undergraduate studies, she had the privilege of learning from distinguished Yinan Zhang and professor Xiaohui Tao.

In 2020, Jiani moved to Leeds, UK, to pursue her Master's in Music Performance. Under the guidance of Professor Michael Allis and Jeremy Davis, she honed her skills, culminating in her Saint-Saƫns concerto performance, which received the highest mark of the year. She graduated with Distinction and was nominated by the University of Leeds for the outstanding achievement in MMus performance program award.

Since 2023, Jiani has continued her tenure at the University of Leeds' School of Music, serving as a piano accompanist for examinations and performances. She accompanies an average of over 50 pieces each semester, spanning a diverse range of genres and instrumentalists. Jiani has successfully held several solo concerts in both the UK and China, and she eagerly anticipates performing in new venues and countries in the future.
